According to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 1991 and its implementing regulation, Intrepid must, directly or through contractual or other arrangement, admit and treat all persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or national origin in its provision of services and benefits, including assignments or transfers within facilities
- According to Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act and its implementing regulations, Intrepid must not,directly or through contractual or other arrangements, discriminate against potential or actual employees or patients based on disability (mental or physical) in admissions, access, treatment or employment.
According to the Pregnancy Discrimination Act and it implementing regulations, Intrepid must not discriminate against a woman because of pregnancy, childbirth, or a medical condition related to pregnancy or childbirth. The law also makes it illegal to retaliate against a person because the person complained aboutdiscrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit.
The purpose of this policy is to prevent Intrepid staff from discriminating against personnel, patients or other customers based on race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, disability or place of national origin.
